Since Blacklocks jewellers was first founded in 1832 in Sunderland, a genuine passion for fine jewellery has been at the heart of our success.
Our family heritage is as rich as it is varied – and with a sixth generation of Blacklocks now running the business, we have a history that few jewellery companies can match. Over the years, we've done everything from buying rare and beautiful one-off pieces to making jewellery for celebrities. And it’s this fascinating legacy that’s made us who we are today
.In fact, as 21st century Blacklocks, we are very much guided by the principles of our forefathers: the principles that created a well respected – and much loved – family-owned business in the North East of England. We truly believe in them, too. Which is why our company ethos is still based on the traditional values of respect, honesty and fair dealing.
But we've evolved, too. Which is why our philosophy is now also rooted in the preservation of our ethical beliefs – and the placing of a high standard of quality at the heart of everything we do.
